Grinding and mixing machines

Discover the best grinding machines for your product. From laboratory configurations to industrial ball mills and everything in between, our grinding machines are available as jar roller mills, ball mills or custom-made solutions.

THE PROCESS

Fill the grinding jar or mill with the product to be mixed or ground. There are special balls between the materials, also known as grinding media, which have a high specific weight and high density. During the grinding process the drum rotates and the balls collide with the materials. The resulting impact ensures that the balls grind your product to the desired size.

One of the main factors during mixing and grinding is preventing contamination of materials due to wear of the grinding media and drum walls. It is essential that the media are aligned to the product and have the right properties in terms of size, density, hardness and composition.

GRINDING AND MIXING MACHINE RPMS

The rpm of the grinding jar or mill is crucial to the desired end result. There are various ways to vary the rpm and we can provide expert advice on which rpm or setup will be ideal for your product. Two of the most common solutions are described below.

FIXED RPM

In this setup, we use a motor (reductor) with a combination of a V-belt and V-belt pulleys in a simple and stable solution. All you have to do to change the rpm is replace the motor or the combination of V-belt pulleys. This is an ideal setup if you only have limited variations in your grinding products.

FREQUENCY SETUP

A frequency converter provides for variable control of the peripheral speed. It ensures you a greater range with a multitude of peripheral speeds – the perfect solution for various sizes of grinding pots and multiple grinding products.
